H-1 Boot Mode

This will cover how to put the H-1 into boot mode. Sometimes, this is needed to upload new firmware if the device is struggling.

Back of the H-1 board with the gold button, Boot button, and Reset button circled in red

Boot button only

You can enter boot mode using only the boot button.

1. Make sure the device is not powered and see the photo above to help find the boot button

2. Press and hold the boot button, while holding the boot button plug the H-1 back into your computer/power and then release the boot button

3. Continue with uploading the firmware

Boot and reset buttons

You can also enter boot mode with the boot and reset buttons while the device is plugged in.

1. Plug in the device

2. Put your H-1 in boot mode. Use both buttons, in this order:

  • Press and hold the boot button (circled in the photo above). Keep holding it.
  • While you're still holding boot, press and release the reset button (also circled in the photo above).
  • Let go of boot.

Keep holding boot the whole time

Pressing reset by itself only restarts the H-1. It goes into boot mode only when boot is held down while you press and release reset.

3. Continue with uploading the firmware
